Interviewer from the Star Trek convention: "So who are you dressed up as?"
David Liu, 33 : "I'm actually dressed up as Captain Kirk, but unfortunately everyone thinks i'm Sulu."

white tourist at the jtown bookstore: *looks at me, points at a picture in a magazine and laughs* "zhu, zhu...?"
me: "Huh? Oh, I don't speak Japanese, sorry."
tourist: "Ohh...umm...are you...mandarin?"
me: "Uhh no, i speak english."
it's kinda bittersweet/flattering when someone thinks i could pull off any type of asian ;D LOL.
